Established in 1984 Harris & Careford Ltd has built a reputation as a high-quality Brickwork Contractor and has a dedicated team of skilled tradesmen / professionals providing the highest of standards.

Harris & Careford Ltd was founded on April 13, 1984, by Mr. Vincent Harris and the late Mr. Bert Careford, a family company, which is still headed by Vincent Harris.

Over our years of trading Harris & Careford Ltd have worked on numerous projects consisting of large residential developments and schools.

Harris & Careford Ltd has an experienced management team and has established a highly skilled workforce many of whom have been longstanding members that work together with our clients to ensure successful partnerships and the highest quality final product.

Meet the Team

Roger Hume

Surveyor

Jack is highly experienced in the construction of New Build Homes and the supervision of large sites. Jack has been with Harris & Careford Ltd since 2007 having started as a Hod Carrier and is now Contracts Manager.

Jack has worked on many sites in the Essex and Hertfordshire area for well-known developers.

Jack holds an NVQ Level 6, SMSTS and is a qualified First Aider.

Jack Watts

Director

Jack is highly experienced in the construction of New Build Homes and the supervision of large sites. Jack has been with Harris & Careford Ltd since 2007 having started as a Hod Carrier and is now Contracts Manager.

Allen Law

Site Supervisor

Nigel started working for Harris & Careford Ltd in 1994 and before long was asked to supervise a gang in Chingford, building a block of flats and has completed many sites since. Nigel has a high standard to which takes pride of place up to the present day.

Nigel left school and attended Mander College in Bedford where he completed a 3 year Bricklaying Course and achieved a City &Guilds with distinctions.

Nigel’s experience is very wide in New Build having dealt with blocks of flats, refurb on a hospital and apart from traditional brick and block has completed Timber frame, his work has been widespread and challenging.

In 1996 he received an NHBC Quality Award for a housing development for Leach Homes in Turnford.

Nigel’s other accreditations are CSCS in Health and Safety, SSSTS in site supervision, and he has many certifications for the use of mechanical tools and site plant.
